YogaYoga with Cecile

Monday 09.30-11.00, ponscecile@hotmail.com, 07951 596 101

Yoga bodies come in all shapes and sizes and whatever your gender, age, level of fitness, size or shape, practising yoga will most probably improve your health and sense of well-being.

Some of the physical benefits of yoga are improved flexibility, balance and posture as well as increased strength and stamina. Less tangible benefits include better concentration, reduced anxiety and emotional tension, and fewer mood swings. Regular practice achieves the greatest rewards.

Monday 14.30-15.30, matthewpickhaver@hotmail.com, 07910 383 682

Table tennis is one of the best activities that you can do to keep well. Dr Miriam Stoppard has written that ‘it doesn’t only keep your body fit, it keeps your brain fit. All that hand-eye co-ordination works its magic with brain cells and helps prevent dementia’ (Mirror, 5-5-17).
Good reason, then, to come along and join the fun, whatever your age or ability!

PilatesPilates

Tuesday 09.20-10.20, mindbodypilates@mail.com, 07557 790 275

Pilates is a form of low impact exercise with an emphasis on core strength and posture. Regular practice can help improve balance, posture, muscle tone and endurance and joint mobility. It’s an excellent mind and body form of exercise, helping to relieve stress and tension.

There is also evidence that Pilates helps with non-specific low back pain and it is recommended by many physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals.
